ROYAL SCOTTISH ACADEMY

The Royal Scottish Academy of Painting, Sculpture, Architecture and Printmaking (established in 1826) is a member-led art organisation. It has an extensive art collection and art library (not detailed here), and an archive which contains two main categories:
1. Internal affairs (relating to the RSA)
2. Material received from outside sources.

The Academy’s holdings have been partially surveyed by the National Register of Archives for Scotland (survey number NRAS1464), mainly covering material in section 1 below.
