Archival Summaries

PERTH MUSEUM & ART GALLERY

The Museum and Art Gallery holds a variety of archival material. The main series of records are listed below. The Museum's holdings have been surveyed by the National Register of Archives for Scotland (survey NRAS1492), who list the Museum as holding three late medieval illuminated Books of Hours, 14th-15th Century.

Minute books of the Incorporation of Hammermen (1871-1962) are held by a local solicitor's firm and additional records of the Incorporation of Wrights are held in private hands (for further details see National Register of Archives surveys NRAS2098 and NRAS1128).

Among the architectural plans held by the Museum are plans for Perth Poor House. Copies of these, and other plans in the Museum, are held by the National Monuments Record of Scotland.
